Márta Aczél (1909-1997)
Photographer. She receives her degree in art history in Frankfurt, then in 1935 returns to Hungary. On the advice of Kata Kálmán and Iván Hevesy, she commences studies in photography, becoming the student of József Pécsi. She completes her master’s exams with Angelo (Pál Funk). During this period, she produces the majority of her commercial photography, as well as showing her work in exhibitions. In 1939, two of her photographs are featured in the album, Magyar fényképezés [Hungarian Photography], and she also participates in the exhibition entitled Hungarian Collection, organised by the Photographic Society of America.
