Klára Langer (1912-1973)

Photographer. She follows studies in fine arts, focusing on commercial graphic design, and then turning her interest to photography. In the early 1930s, she comes into contact with the Szocialista Képzőművészek Csoportja [Group of Socialist Fine Artists] through the mediation of Kata Sugár and Andor Sugár, and from the mid-30s, she turns to social photography. Between 1938-1939 she works in Paris, and later she continues her commercial photography work in Hungary. In 1956, she takes part in the establishment of the Association of Hungarian Photographers. Her oeuvre is presented in a retrospective exhibition in 1961 in Adolf Fényes Hall.
