Antal Jokesz (1952)

Photographer. Jokesz has been engaged in photography since 1974, and is member of the Studio of Young Photograpers since 1978. As an artist, the relationship between time and the visual moment, and the incidental nature of recording engage him. Since 1979, organises the exhibition and publication series, entitled Dokumentum. His black and white negatives from the ’70s serve as a point of departure for his later works. In 1999, a volume of photos and essays, entitled ‘A preparált idő nyomában’ [In the trace of mounted time], was published.
