János Reismann Works Highlights

János Reismann (1905-1976)

Photographer. Arrived to Paris in 1925, where he became the photographic assistant to Peter Powel. Worked in Berlin from 1927, on the staff of Arbeiter Illustrierte Zeitung. In 1931 travelled to Moscow together with John Heartfield. Lived in Paris between 1938-1948. He has participated in several group and solo exhibitions in Europe and America, his first retrospective exhibition was held at the Savaria Museum in Szombathely in 1965. His works can be found in the collection of the Hungarian Museum of Photography in Kecskemét and the Hungarian National Museum in Budapest.
